PAMET RIVER

The Pamet River is Truro’s entrance to Cape Cod Bay.
It’s named for the Payomet Indians, and is primarily salt marsh. The river flows west nearly all the way across Cape Cod from its eastern beaches, and empties into Cape Cod Bay.

Boat launching facilities are available at Pamet Harbor on Depot Road. The harbor is currently navigable for 2 to 3 hours before and after high tide. There is a nominal charge for ramp use.
